Description
New EPIRB of GME that stands at the top of the range. 66-channel GPS prepared to work with the satellites of the new constellation MEOSAR.In two versions 5551011 without release case and 5551021 with automatic activation (category 1) where the epirb is inserted in a casing with a door that opens automatically when the hydrostatic hook senses the water pressure. At that moment the EPIRB is thrown out of the casing and once the surface has been raised to the surface it activates the transmission of the emergency signal. This mechanism is the result of decades of study by GME to ensure its perfect functioning even in not particularly easy conditions. The use of the new constellationof MEOSAR satellites ensures that the coordination of COSPAS-SARSAT rescue is able to detect the position of the castaway accurately even if it has not been able to detect the GPS coordinates from the distress message sent by the EPIRB.
